Country loaves with golden, floury crusts lined up on a wooden bakehouse table in the morning light.

Bread takes its time.

Breads, viennoiseries and pastries, kneaded, shaped and baked on site, every morning.

Boulangerie Exemple is a fictional business: this site is an example built by Quantum Web Pulse, and its texts, images (AI-generated) and contact details are invented.

Today’s bake

Three families, one standard: good ingredients, time and a properly hot oven.

Traditional baguettes standing in a wicker basket, a country loaf and a sliced seeded loaf on a linen cloth.

The breads

Shaped by hand and baked on the oven floor, for a crust that crackles and a crumb that keeps.

The traditional baguette

Thin crust, cream-coloured open crumb.

The country loaf

Sourdough, with a dense, fragrant crumb.

The seeded loaf

Flax, sunflower and sesame, toasted in the oven.
Croissants, pains au chocolat and a golden brioche on a baking tray lined with paper.

The viennoiseries

A butter laminated dough, turned the day before and golden by early morning.

The croissant

Flaky, crisp, melting inside.

The pain au chocolat

Two bars of dark chocolate in golden pastry.

The brioche

A pull-apart crumb, to share or not.
A red-berry tartlet, two chocolate éclairs and a slice of custard flan on a marble counter.

The pastries

Classics made in the pastry kitchen, for dessert or the afternoon snack.

The fruit tartlet

Shortcrust, cream and seasonal fruit.

The chocolate éclair

Choux pastry, pastry cream, glossy glaze.

The custard flan

Vanilla, slowly baked, just wobbling.
Two floury hands shape a ball of bread dough on a wooden worktop, next to a proofing basket lined with linen.

From trough to oven, three steps

Nothing is rushed: it is the dough that sets the pace.

  1. Knead

Flour, water, salt and starter are mixed, then the dough rests and rises for as long as it needs.
  2. Shape

Each piece of dough is weighed, folded and shaped by hand, one by one.
  3. Bake

The oven does the rest: the crust turns golden and crackles, the crumb stays soft.

Your questions

The ones we are asked most often at the counter.

Are your products made on site?

Yes: the breads, viennoiseries and pastries are kneaded, shaped and baked here, in our bakehouse.

How should I store bread?

At room temperature, in a tea towel or a cloth bag, cut side against the board. Avoid the fridge, which makes it go stale faster; to keep it longer, slice it and freeze it.

Can I order in advance?

Yes, to be sure of finding your bread, or for a cake to share. How to order is given in the practical information.

The bread comes out of the oven early in the morning: it is waiting for you, still warm.
